Partner Abuse Intervention Program 


Zabin and Associates, P.C. provides intensive weekly out-patient groups for domestic violence offenders. Our mission is to stop violence as a way of relating to and controlling others and to teach alternative methods of expressing emotions.

 OBJECTIVES OF INTERVENTION INCLUDE:

Zabin and Associates staff are available to perform comprehensive assessments of domestic violence offenders and will provide therapeutic intervention based upon individual needs.  Our group meets weekly for 24 weeks. Time may exceed this, as our program is criteria-based rather than time-determined. Format of program consists of didactic lecture, along with intensive group therapy. Groups are co-lead by Jerry M. Zabin, LCSW and Cynthia Ashton, M.A.. Mr. Zabin has been in out-patient practice since 1983, and he specializes in group therapy with Domestic Violence perpetrators. He has earned a reputation for providing individualized, responsive and growth-oriented clinical services. Ms. Ashton has been in clinical practice since 1984, and brings a wealth of experience, having worked with victims of domestic violence. Our program complies with the standards and guidelines for the Illinois Protocol for Partner Abuse Intervention Programs.
